Rose Noble has been a part of the Galena Country Tourism team since 2015, beginning as Marketing & PR Executive before being promoted to Marketing Director in 2017 and hired as CEO in May of 2018. During her time with Galena Country Tourism, she has been the primary decision-maker for marketing and public relations strategies while being responsible for executing all the bureau’s related initiatives. Her current role oversees all destination spending, strategic planning and promotions, advocacy and community engagement.
Originally from the Quad Cities area, Noble and her husband relocated to Galena in 2005, where they now live with their three children. She graduated from Clarke University with a degree in Communications-PR and brings more than 18 years’ experience in marketing and graphic design along with a strong understanding of branding and communications, including social media and emerging technologies.
Rose is currently training to become a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) through Destination International’s acclaimed accreditation for tourism professionals. She is set to receive her accreditation 2022. She recently finished Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training via Destinations International (2021). She is also actively involved the Illinois Council of Convention and Visitors Bureau (ICCVB), participating as a Board Director At Large and the appointed ICCVB Market Illinois Chair (2020), ICCVB Education Committee member (2021-23), Officer (Treasurer 2021-22) and Vice Chair, Chair-elect (2022-23). She was appointed to the Marketing & Communication sub-committee that worked directly with the Illinois Office of Tourism (IOT) to create a state-wide recovery marketing campaign that launched Spring 2021.
