Lauren Shoaf Pace is the organization's Vice President of Marketing and is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of all the association’s marketing initiatives. She oversees the planning, coordination and execution of marketing strategies to ensure the timely and effective delivery of campaigns and projects, as well as advise and facilitate engagement opportunities for partners and members, promote DI products, tools and resources to position DI as an industry thought leader across the globe.
Lauren brings nearly two decades of experience in the travel and tourism industry to the team, including working in destination organizations at both the state and local level. Her background spans from Vice President of Global Development at Travel Show Marketing Group (TravelSMG) to Director of Global Marketing & Trade at VISIT FLORIDA.
During her 14 years at VISIT FLORIDA, Lauren held positions including  Sales Representative, Marketing & Event Planner and Director of Global Marketing and Trade. In the latter role, she was responsible for strategy development, planning, budgeting, execution, management and measurement of all traditional trade efforts, trade advertising and co-op development for 12 global markets. She managed global events and facilitated product development in key international markets including Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Germany and the United Kingdom. At the local level, Lauren served as Marketing Communications Director for Visit Tallahassee, managing all public relations, social media, visitor services, promotions and cooperative advertising efforts, as well as leading marketing planning and strategy.
Lauren is a graduate of Auburn University and lives with her family in Tallahassee, Florida.
