Andrea Lane Crawley thrives on creating positive and memorable experiences.
Andrea has been an event and meeting professional for nearly 10 years, with the majority of her years in the association world.
Currently, she is the Senior Manager, Meetings and Events at Destinations International (DI) where she is responsible for executing all operational aspects of their educational programs, conferences, and events.
Prior to her role at DI, Andrea grew from Meeting Planner to Meeting Manager at the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). There, she was not only responsible for handling her assigned event logistics from start to finish, but also managed budgets and created partnerships through sponsorships and displays. Before NDIA, Andrea gained experience in the tourism industry, where she served as a Tour Planner for the Guide Service of Washington, curating tours for groups visiting the Nation’s Capital.
In 2019, Andrea became a notable recipient of Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) Top 20 in their
Twenties. She is currently an active member of the PCMA Capital Chapter and has participated in both the Emerging Professionals and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committees.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Old Dominion University as well as a Master of Tourism Administration from The George Washington University. She maintains her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Digital Event Strategist (DES) designations. Andrea has also obtained certificates as a Pandemic Compliance Advisor, as well as for an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Series.
When she’s not working, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and traveling to experience new cultures.
