Julie Holmen has over 25 years of experience in hotel and destination sales within the global travel market. Most recently, she worked with Meeting Professionals International, managing global supplier accounts and strategic alliances. From 2006 to 2017, Julie was Director of Citywide Sales at Destination Toronto, focusing on attracting major events and incentives. A dedicated industry professional, she has served on numerous boards, including MPI Toronto and FICP, and has won several awards, including induction into the M&IT Hall of Fame. Julie is also passionate about mentoring future hospitality leaders.
Rori provides leadership in planning and developing integrated curricula and programs that enhance the professional development and expertise of Destinations International members. She oversees educational content and certification programs across the organization's virtual and in-person events.
Elaine leads strategic development of the Event Impact Calculator and related Destinations International products. She works with subscribers and product developers to ensure a great user experience, robust training resources and strong community support.
David spent nine years as the Multimedia & Web Manager for the Quad Cities CVB in Illinois and Iowa, leading all facets of digital marketing including website, social media and video production. Today, he supports the development and promotion of the association's products, services and virtual events across all digital channels.
Chelsea Dunlop Welter is the organization's Senior Vice President of Governance & Administration and is directly responsible for managing and supporting all administration and operations for the organization including human resource functions and directly supports the executive office. Additionally, she also manages all board governance and supervision for the Destinations International Association Board of Directors, The Destinations International Foundations Board of Trustees, and their respective committees and task forces.
Chelsea joined Destinations International (DMAI) in 2016 after leaving Choose Chicago where she worked as Executive Assistant to the President & CEO. Prior to her career in travel and tourism, she worked in commercial property management working in both Chicago and New York City for a large international real estate management company and also a regional firm in Chicago.
Andreas Weissenborn’s career in tourism began with an internship at Visit Baltimore, sparking a lasting passion for the industry. He spent nearly 11 years at Visit Baltimore, focusing on Research, Technology, and Information Systems. In 2017, he joined Destinations International Foundation to support research and advocacy initiatives. His responsibilities include advancing community shared value, the tourism lexicon, the event impact calculator, and other key reporting platforms, reinforcing the belief in destination promotion as a common good for the greater good.
