Destinations International Opens Registration for Second Cohort of “Tourism for All” Certificate Program
Industry-leading certificate program equips destination leaders to support community well-being and the competitive advantage of welcome
POTOMAC FALLS, Va., U.S. (May 6, 2026) – Destinations International (DI) has opened registration for the second cohort of Tourism for All, a virtual, self-paced certificate program designed to help destination organizations lead community-driven, welcoming tourism that benefits both visitors and residents.
Following the successful launch of the virtual inaugural cohort in February, Tourism for All continues to build momentum as a leading framework for destinations seeking to align stakeholders, strengthen community engagement and embed welcoming practices across the visitor economy.
“Creating destinations where everyone feels welcome requires intention, collaboration and leadership,” said Don Welsh, president & CEO of Destinations International. “The second cohort of Tourism for All is an opportunity to deepen that commitment and expand its impact across the industry.”
About the Program
Tourism for All offers a six-month virtual cohort experience where participants engage in expert-led online modules and practical exercises aligned to the program’s four pillars. The program begins with an onboarding and train-the-trainer phase, during which destination leaders complete core training modules, engage with industry impact experts, develop local action plans and prepare to facilitate Tourism for All within their communities.
Upon completion, participants are prepared to implement Tourism for All locally, introducing it as a broader community strategy and offering it as an enablement resource that supports sustainable growth and shared success. Participants retain ongoing access to all program materials, a peer network and the ability to work with impact experts including HospitableMe, TripAdvisor, Tourism Cares, The Culturist Group and Wheel the World to support long-term success.
Tourism for All positions destination organizations as trusted community leaders and conveners, providing the skills and frameworks needed to bring together stakeholders, build trust and embed welcoming practices across their destinations.
