Recertification Credits for Annual Convention and Summits (2021-2023)

Please see below for the eligible continuing education credits for Annual Convention and Summits in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Continuing Education Credits

2023 Continuing Education Credits

Attending the Destinations International 2023 Annual Convention and Summits provides continuing education (CE) credits towards CDME recertification. To earn the maximum number of credits for each event, you must have:

  • Attended all keynote general sessions, and
  • Attended all educational session time slots

Please note that on-demand replay of recorded sessions does not count towards CDME recertification requirements. 

  • The 2023 Annual Convention (July 18-20, 2023) is approved for up to 10 CDME continuing education (CE) credits not including the pre-conference sessions.  
     
  • Each pre-conference event on July 18, 2023 is approved for CDME CE credits. Credit will only be given for attendance at one pre-conference event.  
     
    • The Expedia Insights Summit is approved for up to two (2) CDME CE credits
    • The Civitas Funding Forum is approved for up to three (3) CDME CE credits
    • The Messaging and Media Training Workshop is approved for up to three (3) CDME CE credits
    • Each keynote session is worth one (1) CE credit, for up to three (3) CE credits if attending all keynote sessions.  
    • Each breakout session is worth one (1) CE credit, for up to seven (7) CE credits if attending all breakout session time slots.  
    • Each CEO Lounge session is worth one (1) CE credit, for up to seven (7) CE credits if attending all CEO Lounge time slots.  
       
  • The 2023 Marketing and Communications Summit (February 13-15, 2023 ) is approved for up to 14 CDME continuing education credits.    
     
  • The 2023 Convention Sales and Services Summit (March 9, 2023) is approved for up to seven (7) CDME continuing education credits. 
     
  • The 2023 CEO Summit (April 3-5, 2023) is approved for up to 13 CDME CE credits.  
     
  • The 2023 Visitor Services Summit (July 18, 2023) is approved for up to six (6) CDME CE credits.
     
  • The 2023 Business Operations Summit (October 9-11, 2023) is approved for up to 17 CDME CE credits.
     
  • The 2023 Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Summit (October 10-11, 2023) is approved for up to 12 CDME CE credits.
     
  • The 2023 Advocacy Summit (October 10-12, 2023) is eligible for up to 12 CDME CE credits. 

2022 Continuing Education Credits

Attending the Destinations International 2022 Annual Convention and Summits provides continuing education (CE) credits towards CDME recertification. To earn the maximum number of credits for each event, you must have:

  • Attended all keynote general sessions, and
  • Attended all educational session time slots

Please note that on-demand replay of recorded sessions does not count towards CDME recertification requirements. 

  • The 2022 Annual Convention (July 19-21, 2022) is eligible for up to 13 CDME continuing education credits.
     
    • Each pre-conference event is worth three (3) CE credits. Credit will only be given for attendance at one pre-conference event.
    • Each keynote session is worth one (1) CE credit, for up to three (3) CE credits if attending all keynote sessions.
    • Each breakout session is worth one (1) CE credit, for up to seven (7) CE credits if attending all breakout session time slots.
    • Each CEO Lounge session is worth one (1) CE credit, for up to four (4) CE credits if attending all CEO Lounge time slots. 
       
  • The 2022 Convention Sales and Services Summit (March 23, 2022) is eligible for up to seven (7) CDME continuing education credits. 
     
  • The 2022 CEO Summit (April 3-5, 2022) is eligible for up to 12 CDME continuing education credits. 
     
  • The 2022 Marketing and Communications Summit (April 24-26, 2022) is eligible for up to 11 CDME continuing education credits. 
     
  • The 2022 Advocacy Summit (October 26-28, 2022) is eligible for up to 14 CDME continuing education credits. 

2021 Continuing Education Credits

Attending the Destinations International 2021 Annual Convention and Summits provides continuing education (CE) credits towards CDME recertification. To earn the maximum number of credits for each event, you must have:

  • Attended all keynote general sessions, and
  • Attended all educational session time slots

  • The 2021 hybrid Annual Convention (July 14-15, 2021) is approved for up to 11 CDME continuing education credits.
     
  • The 2021 hybrid Marketing & Communications Summit (July 13, 2021) is approved for up to 7.5 CDME continuing education credits.
     
  • The 2021 hybrid Finance, Operations & Technology Summit (July 13, 2021) is approved for up to 3.7 CDME continuing education credits.
     
  • The 2021 virtual Visitor Services Summit (July 13, 2021) is approved for up to 3.8 CDME continuing education credits.
     
  • The 2021 virtual Membership Summit (July 13, 2021) is approved for up to 3.8 CDME continuing education credits.
