30 Under 30

Now in its eighth year, the Destinations International Foundation’s 30 Under 30 program is supported by founding program partner SearchWide and sponsored by IMEX and Northstar. 

Investing in the future generation of destination experts, 30 individuals under the age of 30, will be selected annually to gain valuable industry networking opportunities and increased thought leadership throughout the year.

Now Accepting Applications for the 2018 30 Under 30 Program

To be considered for the 2018 30 Under 30 program, nominees must submit an application with CEO approval by Friday, April 20, 2018 at 6 p.m. ET. 

Program Benefits

  • Complimentary registration and three nights’ accommodations during Destinations International's 2018 Annual Convention in Anaheim, California
  • Complimentary registration for Fundamentals in Destination Marketing, the first course of Destinations International's PDM program

  • Opportunity to apply to attend the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux's Annual Conference


  • Candidates must be under 30 years of age at the time of the submission deadline (this means that candidates must have been born on or after April 21, 1988). 
  • Must presently work for a destination organization, convention and visitors bureau (CVB) or tourism board.
  • Must be an employee of the organization for at least 1.5 years consecutively (internships included).
  • Submissions must include completed application, resume, short bio and video addressing questions asked within the application. Click here to view the application and instructions. 
  • Video submission must be self-produced using a candidate’s own devices (This basically means, we aren't looking for professionally produced videos.)
  • Nominees must submit applications, with approval and sign off from the CEO/Executive Director of the destination organization.
  • Only one individual from an organization will be chosen if multiple submissions from the same destination organization are submitted.
