The 30 Under 30 program is supported by founding program partner SearchWide and sponsored by IMEX and Northstar.

Investing in the future generation of destination experts, 30 individuals under the age of 30 will be selected annually to gain valuable industry networking opportunities and increased thought leadership throughout the year.

Program Benefits

  • Honorees will receive complimentary registration and three nights' hotel accommodations during Destinations International's 2019 Annual Convention
  • Recognition on stage and throughout the 2019 Annual Convention in St. Louis, MO on July 23-26, 2019
  • Complimentary registration for Fundamentals in Destination Marketing, the first course of Destinations International's PDM program
  • Year-round professional development focus, including regular interactive webinars and an online community to share ideas
  • Opportunity to apply to attend the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux's Annual Conference

Requirements/Criteria

  • Candidates must be under 30 years of age at the time of the submission deadline.
  • Must presently work for a destination organization, convention and visitors bureau (CVB) or tourism board that is a member of Destinations International at the time of the submission deadline.
  • Must be an employee of the organization for at least 1.5 years consecutively (internships included).
  • Nominees must submit applications, with approval and sign off from the CEO/Executive Director of the destination organization.
  • Submissions must include completed application, resume, short bio, headshot and video addressing questions asked within the application.
  • Video submission must be self-produced using a candidate’s own devices - this basically means, we aren't looking for professionally produced videos! Candidates are encouraged to be creative and make their video submission fun and entertaining. Videos produced by an outside marketing agency will not be accepted.
  • Only one individual from an organization will be chosen if multiple applicants from the same destination organization are nominated.
