Destinations International, along with founding program partner SearchWide and supporting sponsors IMEX and USAE, has announced the 2017 “30 Under 30” program for the seventh year.

Investing in the future generation of destination experts, 30 individuals under the age of 30, are selected annually to gain valuable industry networking opportunities and increased thought leadership throughout the year. 

Program Benefits

  • Complimentary registration and three nights’ accommodations during Destinations International's 2017 Annual Convention in Montreal, Canada 
  • NEW FOR 2017 - Complimentary registration for Fundamentals in Destination Marketing, the first course of Destinations International's PDM program 
  • NEW FOR 2017 - Year-round professional development focus, including regular interactive webinars and an online community to share ideas


  • Candidates must be under 30 years of age at the time of the submission deadline (this means that candidates must have been born on or after April 14, 1987).  
  • Must presently work for a destination organization, convention and visitors bureau (CVB) or tourism board.
  • Must be an employee of the organization for at least 1.5 years consecutively (internships included). 
  • Submissions must include completed application, resume, short bio and video addressing questions asked within the application. 
  • Video submission must be self-produced using a candidate’s own devices. 
  • Nominees must submit applications, with approval and sign off from the CEO/Executive Director of the destination organization.
  • Only one individual from an organization will be chosen if multiple submissions from the same destination organization are submitted.
