Destinations International is thrilled to be launching our new online community, complete with new resources including an RFP Portal, Job Description Library and Speaker Directory.
We are excited to share that the online community is getting a brand-new look and feel! Our new community site has been designed to provide an exceptional experience to our members, complete with some brand-new member benefits and resources including an RFP Portal, speaker directory and new-and-improved job description library. This refreshed platform will allow you to connect to, engage with, and learn from industry peers as well as share the interesting and impactful work that you do every day!
Refreshed Central Feed
The first thing that you will notice when logging into the new online community is the new central feed! The upgraded central feed shows you all the latest activity from discussions that you are a part of. Similar to a social media feed that shows its newest posts at the top, you can now “like” posts directly from your feed. You’ll also be able to see the number of replies on each post and easily contribute to the conversation.
Another new feature, My Communities Quick List allows you to easily keep up to date with the content that you are most interested in, ensuring that the news feed is more personalized than ever before. We hope that you use our intensive selection of communities and discussions to build a powerful network of industry experts!
New and Improved Job Description Library
Long-time users of the online community may remember our launch of the job description library last year. The library served as a space for members to share their position descriptions to provide guidance to your fellow Destinations International members who may be hiring for similar positions. We are excited to announce that the job description library page got a makeover!
The new job description library features 16 categories, including several new ones such as Community/Destination Development, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Festivals & Special Events, and Sports. We are hoping that all positions should fit into at least one of these categories.
Sharing your organization’s job descriptions is easy! To share your job description, you will need to enter the title of your job entry and copy and paste the text directly from your job description into the text box. Lastly, select at least one job description tag from the list of topics.
We are excited for our members to utilize this feature to assist their peers in recruiting top industry talent.
New RFP Portal
We are excited to unveil our RFP portal, an essential resource for our members, partners and business members. The new tool will allow you to share your RFPs with the DI community, including strategic partners and business members, and will allow you to reference peer-created examples to assist you in creating your own RFPs.
The RFP Portal contains space for both Live RFPs that are currently accepting proposals and Past Example RFPs that can be used for reference.
To post an RFP, please refer to these instructions.
Please include #Live in your posting for an RFP to live in the Live RFP portal and include the tag #DatePassed for an RFP to live in the Past Example RFP library.
New Speaker Directory
Our new Speaker Directory is the place to go to find subject matter experts for an event! The searchable database can be searched by expert location or topic of expertise. To view all speakers, simply click Search without filling in any of the optional search fields.
We hope that you use this space to discuss with your peers, collaborate with industry experts, and expand your professional network.
