A 20+ year veteran of working in and with DMOs, Matt was the first-ever CMO for the San Francisco Travel Association, leading the 100-year-old organization through a rename and rebrand, transformation of their membership and partnership structure and a reimagination of the visitor information experience. Prior to that position – and since – he’s worked in a consultative role with many other DMOs, including Visit California, Travel Oregon, Visit Seattle, and the Aspen Chamber Resort Association. Matt’s a passionate and vocal champion of DMOs as they increasingly push beyond an historically-sole focus on tourism to speak on behalf of the whole destination.
