Jon Hunsberger

Executive Director, Elkhart County CVB

Jon Hunsberger serves as the Executive Director of the Elkhart County CVB (ECCVB), where he leads efforts to enhance tourism and promote economic development throughout the region. Since joining the ECCVB in 2018 as Director of Destination Development, Hunsberger has been instrumental in advancing placemaking efforts, notably through the Vibrant Communities movement, a collaboration between the ECCVB and the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. 

In 2020, Hunsberger was promoted to Executive Director. In this role, he works closely with local stakeholders to boost Elkhart County's appeal as a tourist destination. His efforts have contributed to the growth of the tourism and hospitality industry in the South Bend-Elkhart area, which now boasts an annual economic impact of approximately $550 million. 

Under his leadership, the ECCVB continues to champion quality of place initiatives, such as the “Well Crafted” destination brand, the nationally recognized Heritage Trail audio driving tour and the award-winning Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail which all reinforce Elkhart County’s reputation as a vibrant and welcoming community. 

He holds a Master of Urban Design and a Bachelor of Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University.
