Brett Oetting, CDME

Brett Oetting brings national award-winning leadership and organizational alignment across three different industries to his role, specializing in culture transformation, strategic alignment, and organizational health. As the founder of Oetting Alchemy and a EVP with Fired Up! Culture, Brett helps mission-driven organizations bring strategy and culture into alignment.  

He currently serves as Chair of Destinations International’s Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) program, where he teaches leadership, economic development, workforce strategy, and public-private partnership design to destination leaders around the globe. One of the few executives in the U.S. to lead three organizations to Destinations International’s DMAP accreditation—including  “With Distinction” honors—Brett is a recognized national leader in fusing culture and strategy into measurable momentum.

Brett's past DMO experience includes executive roles at Visit Topeka, Visit Corpus Christi and Visit KC. Throughout his career, Brett has built teams that win—proudly mentoring national award-winning creatives, hotel and restaurant managers and multiple Destinations International 30 Under 30 honorees.
