Kathleen Frankford was President of Discover Lancaster, the official Destination Marketing Organization for Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where she oversaw an annual budget of $3.2 million and a team of 22.

Before joining the organization in 2013, Kathleen served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster. In the two decades prior to that position, the area tourism veteran served as Director of Marketing for the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company, Tourism Director at the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau in Carlisle, and Vice President of Marketing & Sales at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg.

Kathleen earned a Bachelor’s in Communications from Millersville University and holds a Master’s in Public Relations from Temple University.  In 2015, she became a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME). The CDME status is recognized within the tourism industry as its highest educational achievement. She also serves on the Advocacy Committee of Destinations International, and is a member of its CDME Board and Foundation.

Kathleen resides in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with her husband and three children.
