Culinary Innovator and International Business Visionary José Andrés to be featured speaker
Washington, D.C. (November 20, 2017) – Destinations International Chair Tammy Blount, FCDME and President and CEO of the Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau and President and CEO Don Welsh today announced that registration and exhibit sales are open for Destination Showcase. The Association’s signature event will take place on February 13, 2018 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center Grand Ballroom in Washington D.C.
This dynamic one-day event offers convention and visitors bureau (CVB) professionals the opportunity to connect with the top meeting planners in the industry to better understand how CVBs can drive more successful meetings.
The event will offer educational sessions and networking opportunities to help meeting professionals and destination organizations create successful meetings and events for an evolving market place including:

- Interactive Learning Labs
- Hands-On Demos
- Closing Reception
Keynote Speaker:
José Andrés, Culinary Innovator, International Business Visionary and Owner of ThinkFoodGroup, will be the event’s keynote speaker. Named "Outstanding Chef" by the James Beard Foundation and recognized by TIME magazine on the "Time 100" list of most influential people in the world, José Andrés is an internationally recognized culinary innovator, passionate advocate for food and hunger issues, author, television personality and chef/owner of ThinkFoodGroup.
Exhibit Sales:
CVBs and destination organizations are invited to participate in the event through one of several exhibit or sponsorship packages. Advance registration discounts are available through December 1, 2017.
