Destinations International Foundation Announces Applications Open for the 2020 30 Under 30 Program

Washington, D.C. (January 15, 2020) – The Destinations International Foundation today announced a call for applications for the organization’s 2020 30 Under 30 Program.

Now in its 10th year, the Destinations International Foundation’s 30 Under 30 program is supported by founding program partner SearchWide Global and sponsored by MMGY Global and Northstar Meetings Group. The 30 individuals, 30 years of age and under, will first convene at Destinations International’s 2020 Annual Convention July 13-15, 2020 in Chicago, IL and will have the opportunity to engage in professional development and networking opportunities throughout 2020 and beyond.

The Destinations International Foundation continually invests in the leaders of tomorrow through professional development opportunities. We look forward to connecting with and celebrating the 30 future leaders at this year’s Annual Convention, throughout 2020 and their careers.”

Requirements/Criteria:

  • Candidates must be under 30 years of age at the time of the submission deadline.
  • Must presently work for a destination organization, convention and visitors bureau (CVB) or tourism board that is a member or Global Affiliate of Destinations International at the time of the submission deadline.
  • Must be an employee of the organization for at least 1.5 years consecutively (part-time employment and internships included) at the time of the submission deadline.
  • Nominees must submit applications, with approval and sign off from the CEO/Executive Director of the destination organization.
  • Submissions must include written application, short essay and video addressing questions asked within the application.
  • Video submission must be self-produced using a candidate’s own devices. Candidates are encouraged to be creative and make their video submission fun and entertaining. Videos produced by an outside marketing agency will not be accepted.
  • Only one individual from an organization will be chosen if multiple applicants from the same destination organization are nominated.
