DestinationNEXT Practice Handbook
This handbook is the beginning of a community of practices intended to improve destination strength and community support and engagement by:
- Providing a forum for destination organizations and other stakeholders to help each other solve every day problems
- Collecting and sharing practices from around the world, including the rationale, approach and outcomes from that practice
- Ensuring practices are current, while anticipating what may come or is on the horizon
- Providing a platform where destination organizations from all regions, of all sizes and mandates, will find value
- Encouraging perspectives on practices that are outside the traditional tourism community, such as academia, non-tourism corporate interests and public officials

As professional development coordinator, Kaelyn Mooney assists with the development and administration of Destinations International education and certification programs. Kaelyn’s love for travel started at a young age and she does not plan on stopping anytime soon. With over 8 years of experience in the meetings and events, non-profit organizations/association industries, she exemplifies positive and creative critical thinking, excellent customer service and a joy to collaborate with.
Before joining the Destinations International team, Kaelyn serviced various Continuing Education for different specializations. She has dreams of seeing every destination possible! Some fun facts about her, she enjoys playing chess, painting, going to see or do anything creative (art museums/galleries, ballets, live music, etc.), and her favorite color is grey!
