Dario Flota is a Chemistry Industrial Engineer by the Instituto Tecnologico de Merida and has a Master of Administration with speciality of Marketing by La Salle University. He is the CEO of the Quintana Roo Tourism Board and was recently invited to join the Council of Tourism Diplomacy as a new member.

He was Director of Cozumel & Mayan Riviera Tourism Board, this job position was already taken by him 2005—2007 and taken it again from 2010 – current days.

He was Subsecretary of Tourism Promotion and Tourism Secretary of the Estate of Quinta Roo. Besides, he has been involved in educational activities such as Director of Tourism Investigations Institute in La Salle University Cancun. He also was the Head of Mexican Association of Travel Agencies Quintana Roo Chapter and was President of Quintana Roo Migration Advisory Board.

He worked as Quintana Roo State Corporate Coordinating Consult and president of Mexico Chapter, Society for Incentive Travel, SITE.

Since 2015 he is President of Mexican Destination Marketing Association (AMDEM).
