Greetings and Happy Friday. This week we shift our thoughts and prayers to those impacted by the deadly and catastrophic fires in Northern California. We will continue to keep our website up-to-date with ways to help the destinations that have been going through disasters and we urge our community to lend your support. Please click here to see a list of organizations that are mobilizing to help those in need. These past few months have been hard for many of our friends and colleagues. However, we know our tourism community is strong and when that community is in need, we are resilient in coming together to help and contribute. __________ We just wrapped up our Finance, Operations and Technology Summit in Orlando, Florida, and we are pleased to report that we had a record attendance of 110 leaders in technology, finance and operations join us at the four-day packed event. Thanks to Jeff Conway, Director of Finance and Larry Henrichs, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer at Visit Orlando and their team for hosting this event. A special thanks to the committee who worked very hard on the development of the agenda. __________ Our fall summits and educational events continue to take place and have record breaking attendance. We are hearing from our members that these opportunities are worthwhile, provide peer-to-peer networking and deliver invaluable learning opportunities. As we look ahead to 2018, we are thrilled to announce the year’s events secured by our Meetings and Professional Development team. We encourage you to mark your calendar and plan to attend so you can continue to learn, network and help your destination excel. We will keep you updated as new information on dates and locations are confirmed. Please check our website, www.destinationsinternational.org, for the most up-to-date information.
