30 Under 30 Alumni Council

The 30 Under 30 Alumni Council will work closely with Destinations International staff in an advisory capacity to help improve alumni engagement opportunities and shape the future of the 30 Under 30 program.

The 30 Under 30 Alumni Council supports the growth and evolution of the Destinations International Foundation’s 30 Under 30 program. Council members assist in the development of professional development opportunities, organize networking opportunities, facilitate mentorship connections with the current class, and help drive educational content and thought leadership for the tourism industry at large. Participation on the Council is limited to 30 Under 30 honorees from the classes of 2012-2021.


  • Assist in the development of professional development opportunities for the current class of 30u30s.
  • Facilitate mentorship opportunities for the current class of 30u30s.
  • Organize virtual and physical networking opportunities for other 30u30 alumni.
  • Help drive educational content and thought leadership for the tourism industry at large.


  • Those selected to join the Alumni Council will be expected to complete the following during their one-year term:
    • Assist with content development for one professional development webinar in your area of expertise.
    • Write one blog post for the DI blog on an industry-related topic of your choosing.
    • Actively participate in the 30 Under 30 group of the Online Community.
    • Assist with the development of an alumni mentorship program to launch with the 30 Under 30 class of 2021.
  • Help coordinate networking opportunities for all 30 Under 30s, including virtual networking events as well as meetups at industry events (virtual and in-person).
  • Help plan and coordinate a "Young Leaders" educational series featuring content and activities of all 30 Under 30s. The series will consist of a Destinations International-produced quarterly webinar and a quarterly e-newsletter with access available to all Destinations International members.
