Zac Craig
Zac Craig was appointed President of Visit Oklahoma City in February of 2021. With over 25 years of industry experience, Zac is accountable for leading Visit OKC’s efforts as the City’s official destination sales and marketing organization charged with ensuring that tourism is a top economic driver for the community. Furthermore, Zac and his team are responsible for elevating OKC’s brand and image which ultimately drives visitors, taxes, talent, economic development and quality of life throughout the region.
During his tenure, tourism results continue to climb for OKC now welcoming over 24 million annual visitors that support 35,000 jobs and generate $4.5B in economic impact. Since his arrival, the community has opened the 500,000 square foot Oklahoma City Convention Center, 605 room Omni Headquarter Hotel, $400 million OKANA Resort and numerous attractions including the long-awaited First Americans Museum. He currently serves on several local, regional and national boards including the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Advisory Board at Oklahoma State University, RIVERSPORT Foundation Board of Directors, Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association Board of Directors, OKC for Soccer Advisory Board, Simpleview Advisory Board and Destinations International Advocacy Committee. Additionally, alongside several community leaders, Zac worked to secure all canoe slalom and softball competitions scheduled for the LA28 Olympics for Oklahoma City. This transformational event is set to leave a lasting legacy for the destination.
Zac arrived at Visit OKC after more than 11 years with Omni Hotels & Resorts where he served as Area Director of Sales & Marketing. Within this role, Zac led a field-based team of 90 professionals and was responsible for the overall strategic sales and marketing direction for multiple hotels and attractions across the Southeast. During his tenure with Omni, Zac's leadership assignments included supporting hotels and attractions within the Dallas, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Atlanta and Charlotte metro areas. Previously, he worked for both LXR Luxury Resorts and Interstate Hotels & Resorts in Naples, Sanibel & Captiva Islands and Oklahoma City.
A native of Oklahoma, Zac received his Master of Science in Hospitality Administration from Oklahoma State University and his undergraduate degree in business and marketing communications from the University of Tulsa.
