Debbie van der Beek

Debbie van der Beek is the proud President + Chief Visionary Officer of both Ignite and ADRENALIN magazines. 

Debbie kicked off her career 25 years ago with the now shuddered Meetings & Incentive Travel where she produced the Canadian Meetings & Incentives Travel Symposium and Trade show (IncentiveWorks, now CMEExpo), along with a series of 14 business event industry trade shows across Canada.
  
In 2007, while on maternity leave, she recognized a gap in the resources available to educate and inspire Canadian business event planners, and with that, she put her head down and started imagining and creating, and in September of 2008, the first edition of Ignite hit planners desks across Canada. Since then, she has poured her heart and passion into creating products that provide planners with ideas and inspiration to help them in their roles as, what she likes to call, “magic-makers”.

She loves creating new opportunities, trying new things and taking risks. She believes in carving out your own path, testing new ideas, sometimes failing, but always dusting off and trying again. She loves to dream, imagine and say “what if”!
