Destinations International Closes Convention in Toronto with over 1,300 Attendees from 20 Countries, Announces Dallas, Texas as 2023 Convention Destination

Washington, D.C. (July 28, 2022) – Destinations International, the world’s largest resource for official destination organizations and convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs), hosted its Annual Convention in Toronto Canada July 19-21, 2022.
- The convention had a over 1,300 registered attendees from 20 countries with over 600 first time convention attendees.
- There were 28 concurrent educational sessions, eight CEO Lounge Sessions, two Destination International Foundation workshops and three shirtsleeve sessions on Friday. There were also three pre-convention sessions.
- Partners, business members and destination members hosted 69 Flashes of Brilliance Sessions.
- The association hosted its first Awards Recognition Celebration to highlight leaders within the tourism industry.
- Hall of Fame inductees and Destination Organization Leadership Award recipients were recognized. You may read the press announcement here.
- Tourism Cares was celebrated as the 2022 Spirit of Hospitality awardee.
- 23 destination professionals received their CDME credential. You may read the press announcement here.

- The 2022 class of 30 Under 30 recipients was celebrated.

- Dallas, Texas was announced as the 2023 Destinations International Annual Convention location. The convention will be held July 18-20, 2023.
