Anaheim Picks by the Visit Anaheim Team

By Caitlyn Blizzard

In preparation for our upcoming Annual Convention, we asked the experts at the Visit Anaheim team where attendees should visit while in town.

Here are their picks:

Lindsay M. – Communications

Golden Road Brewery - The newly opened Golden Road Brewery, located right across the street from Angel Stadium, is a can’t-miss stop in Anaheim. There’s no better place to take-in the California sunshine while enjoying a delicious burger, an ice-cold beer and a game of cornhole. The open concept brewery and restaurant is extremely relaxing and inviting, making it the perfect destination to soak up what Anaheim has to offer.

Sue O. – Marketing

Mama Cozza’s - My favorite local eatery is Mama Cozza’s on Ball Road in Anaheim. I’ve been eating there since I was a teenager working at Disneyland and it hasn’t changed at all. Mama Cozza’s is off the beaten path, definitely a local handout, not fancy, but delicious Italian food. A note of interest – it was Gwen Stephani’s local hangout too and rumor has it that she recently took Blake Shelton there for dinner.

Ciara P. – Marketing

Outside of Anaheim:

Tribune - Downtown Fullerton – My favorite spot to grab a drink would be Tribune in Downtown Fullerton. It’s a quiet spot to enjoy a good drink without having to endure too rowdy of an environment.

Kerensa S. – Tourism

Outside of Anaheim:

Fullerton Arboretum- One of my favorite places to visit when I need some time to connect with nature is the Fullerton Arboretum, located just a few miles North of Anaheim. Admission is free, but the Arboretum does collect donations to keep their grounds beautiful. I love exploring the different climate landscapes and seeing the wildlife that calls the Arboretum home. It’s a beautiful location for a relaxed stroll to unwind.

OC Fair- 2018 Dates July 13- Aug 12- To me nothing says “Summer’s here” than the Orange County Fair. If you are planning to extend your trip after Destinations International I highly recommend stopping by the fair to see a concert, ride some rides and of course indulge in some deep-fried treats!

In Anaheim:

House of Blues- One of my favorite things to do is enjoy live music, and the House of Blue is the best venue in Anaheim to do this. I love that the venue provides concert goers with an intimate experience!

Ryan A. – Toursim

Anaheim Brewery is one of the craft breweries credited for the resurgence of the craft beer scene in Anaheim. Located next to the iconic Packing House, try one of their easy to drink beers in the heart of the city. The owners are often there, and I absolutely love that no TVs are in the tasting room. Cheers!

Kathy N. – Toursim

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is a hidden gem located in the Disneyland Hotel. Order one of their whimsical tropical drinks that create magical effects inside the tiki bar or relax out on the lanai with live music on select nights!

We look forward to seeing everyone at the 2018 Anaheim Convention!
