Lauren_BenedictIn her current role, Lauren Benedict focuses on the expansion of Destination International’s destination membership program, including direction of benefits and services, recruitment and retention strategies, along with alignment with other industry trade associations to build mutually beneficial partnerships on behalf of their respective memberships bases. 

Benedict joined Destinations International in 2007 as Manager of Business Development and Membership and has held numerous positions within the Membership & Partnership Department. During her time at Association, she has been integral in the development of the corporate partnership programs and sponsorship opportunities including the development of new offerings and benefits, design and execution of marketing and promotional campaigns, and securing partners. Benedict also managed all sponsor and exhibitor relations for the annual convention.  

Prior to joining Destinations International, Benedict was an Account Manager at a Washington, DC based research and consulting firm specializing in the health care industry. She graduated from Wake Forest University's Calloway School of Business in 2004, receiving a B.S. in Business Administration and minor in International Relations. Originally from Southbury, Connecticut, she now lives in northern Virginia.
