Longwoods International

Longwoods InternationalLongwoods International, a leading tourism market research firm and longtime Destinations International partner, is enhancing its existing partnership with the Association by offering exclusive pricing to new and existing customers for two studies – Travel USA® and Halo Effect.

Travel USA is the largest ongoing annual survey of American travelers with a sample size of more than 330,000 trips in 2015.  This will provide Destinations International members with a complete visitor profile for their city or region. Halo Effect measures, for the first time, the impact of tourism marketing and visitation on a destination’s image beyond tourism. The data included in this study builds off the research presented by Longwoods’ representatives at Destinations International’s 2015 Annual Convention. Longwoods International will contribute a portion of the proceeds of new business developed through this program to the Destinations International Foundation, to help assess and meet the needs of destinations and the broader travel and tourism industry.

GDPR IQ

On May 25, the GDPR data privacy law went into effect. The law governs how marketing firms - including destinations - manage their email and member databases. We've partnered with Utah-based law firm Parsons Behle & Latimer so that Destinations International members have the option of using their online GDPR compliance tool at a reduced cost.

Experiment with the toolbox for free, and if you decide you like it then purchase a subscription and download the completed policy documents. Once you create a free account, members may enter discount code "destinationsinternational" in the "My Account" section for 15% off the listed pricing.

The Experience Institute

The Experience Dedicated Destination (EDD) program helps destinations engage and activate their stakeholder communities to drive strong destination brands and, thus, DMO relevancy.

EDD enables destination stakeholders to hold facilitated strategic conversations which prioritize resources and take action on things that matter to visitors and locals. The EDD framework helps shape an experience strategy through the industry’s only visitor experience standards, developed by TEI. This additional resource provides destinations with quality research, year-over-year trendlines, and valuable experience insight.
