Testimonials from Previous 30 Under 30s:

Marcus Carney, Tourism Manager, Visit Seattle:

"Destinations International is the unequaled leader for thought leadership with destination organizations. The honor and excitement to be included as a part of the 30 under 30 program still pays dividends for my career. It opened a door that hasn’t closed. I met colleagues that I still rely on for inspiration, professional advice and friendship. In the years since being involved with the program, I am still connecting to other professionals whom participated in the program, allowing me to grow my professional network through common connections. The honor has followed me through DMOs and allowed me to maintain connection to peers and colleagues all over the world."

Christy Chachere Lohmann, Communications Specialist, Visit Baton Rouge:

“I am very grateful I was part of Destination International’s 30 Under 30 program in 2015. It was the most incredible experience to meet a group of people around my age, from all over the country, doing the same type of work I am doing. Our program was full of very enthusiastic, young adults that shared the same passions, faced and overcame similar challenges and were eager to learn (and of course have fun) during our week at the annual conference. To this day, we have an active Facebook group to go to for advice, brainstorming opportunities, networking and collaboration on projects. I made some great friends and connections through the 30 Under 30 program that I continue to l keep in touch with and hope to for years to come!”

Drew Hays, Account Director, Sports Commission, Austin Sports Commission:

“My experience in the 2017 Destinations International’s 30 Under 30 class was nothing short of incredible.  I was able to network with multiple tourism industry colleagues, learn more of the marketing side of the tourism industry (as my day-to-day is sales), as well as make lasting friendships with many 30 under 30 participants.  My networking during the class led me to get my foot in the door with my current role with the Austin Sports Commission, as a fellow 30 under 30 colleague provided the job description and put in a good recommendation for me.  I would highly suggest applying for this class, as situations will align to not only bounce ideas off one another, but it may even lead to future career opportunities down the line for class participants.”

Brandon Hall, Senior Account Executive, Group Sales, Discover the Palm Beaches

"Being recognized by both Destinations International as a 30 Under 30 has is one of the biggest career honors a young, upcoming destination organization employee can experience. While the program continues to evolve and gain more industry recognition, my time as part of the 2014 class continues to be a huge benefit. Meeting 29 young professionals that share a similar passion is unlike any other networking event you may have attended. Trust me, you can go to young professional chamber events and be sold life insurance or other services but imagine being in a room full of like-minded peers and sharing ideas. To this day, many of the 2014 class members stay in some sort of contact and I’d like to believe we will all continue to support and encourage each other as our careers progress.  Outside of the program, you will meet serval other industry leaders at the Annual Conference, and who knows what doors that may open for you later! So, take a chance, apply today and see where this amazing opportunity may guide your destination marketing career."
